Leonard and Audrey met at a serendipitous moment and have been collaborating! Their layered, collaborative works began with an underpainting one made for the other. While Audrey leans on the side of representation, Leonard gravitates more toward expressive gesture and pure color. The results of the collaborative paintings contain snippets from both Leonard and Audrey’s imagination–an intertwining of the remnants from the initial underpainting, fused with their individual personal approach from the gestural to the naturalistic, a surreal manifestation on a single canvas of both their identities, fantasies and dream worlds.
